Our Story

A family’s dream, poured into every plate.

What started as a mother watching her son find his calling at fourteen has become Murphy’s favorite gathering table — three generations strong.

Legends is owned and run by Selina, her son Cody, and the whole family. Cody went from washing dishes at a local spot to earning two business degrees at Western Carolina — and then home, to open the restaurant he’d been dreaming of since high school.

On most nights you’ll find Selina, Cody, and Matt on the line. Kayleigh runs the front of house. Even Danny and Marcia jump in when we’re slammed. We’re a family restaurant in the truest sense — and if you stay long enough, you’re part of it too.

To us, legends are the folks who hold this community up: our military, first responders, teachers, and line workers. Murphy raised us. This is how we say thank you.

— Selina, proud owner & mother

From the grill

Real beef. Real fire. Real people.

Braveheart® Black Angus, aged and hand-cut in house. Mountain trout pulled from Carolina streams. Sides and sauces made from scratch, every morning.

45-day dry-aged ribeye

Our signature cut. Aged for forty-five days to coax out every note of flavor, finished on fire, and served with a whiskey glaze if you’re feeling bold.

Local mountain trout

Pecan-encrusted or cajun-seared with crawfish beurre blanc — caught in Carolina streams and on your plate the same day.

Southern hospitality

From-scratch queso. Hand-breaded tenders. Grandma’s strawberry shortcake. Dinner the way the mountains do it, and nobody leaves a stranger.
